Join Us to Deliver Work That Matters
Join our Digital practice in a full-time, permanent role based in Canberra, helping Federal Government agencies bring clarity to technology spend. You’ll sit at the intersection of finance, tech and strategy, turning complex ICT costs into practical insights for CFO/CIO and SES stakeholders.
If you enjoy shaping budgets, improving cost transparency and guiding better investment decisions (including cloud), this is a role where you can lead client engagements and grow a high-performing team.
What you’ll do
* Lead ITFM advisory engagements across budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and investment governance.
* Build simple, defensible service and unit-cost models that improve transparency and decision-making.
* Deliver FinOps and cloud cost management (allocation/tagging, optimisation, forecasting and reporting) across major cloud platforms.
* Translate data into executive-ready insights, dashboards, briefs and board packs that connect spend to outcomes.
* Strengthen client governance and operating models so cost accountability sticks.
* Manage stakeholders and mentor consultants while maintaining high-quality delivery.
What you’ll bring:
Essential:
* 6–10 years’ experience in IT financial management, technology consulting, or a related discipline (government or large enterprise environment).
* Strong grounding in ITFM including budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling/service costing and investment governance.
* Experience in FinOps or cloud cost management (allocation/tagging, optimisation and commitment management).
* Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and presenting clear, practical recommendations.
* Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must hold an active AGSVA Baseline security clearance or higher.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with ITFM/FinOps tooling (e.g. Apptio, Azure/AWS cost tools).
* Strong reporting skills in Power BI and advanced Excel.
* Exposure to Commonwealth financial governance (PGPA/RMF/ANAO).
