Job Opportunity
The position of Laboratory Technician is available to support the development and testing of silicon modules for particle tracking detectors in high-energy physics research.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate specialized equipment required to test and characterize silicon strip modules, ensuring optimal performance for advanced particle tracking experiments.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and technicians to achieve project objectives and maintain a safe working environment.
* Provide technical support and maintenance services for laboratory equipment, computers, and software applications, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
* Contribute to the planning and coordination of silicon module production, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
Requirements
* Experience with experimental particle physics, electronics, applied physics, or related disciplines, with a focus on laboratory operations and technical support.
* Proven ability to maintain equipment and computers, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective technical support to researchers and staff.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with academics, researchers, and students in a university setting.
* Knowledge and experience with interfacing and controlling hardware across various computing platforms, including Linux, Windows, and Unix-based systems.
