Administration Officer
* Full-time Fixed Term Contract covering a period of parental leave
* Office based role at the Newcastle Mines Rescue Station with onsite parking available
About the role
In this role, you will provide efficient administrative support to our Mines Rescue team based in Argenton and assist with the day-to-day operations of the office.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential as this role involves communicating effectively with customers both over the phone and in person, ensuring positive interactions and building lasting relationships.
Your main responsibilities will include
* Providing administrative support to management and Mines Rescue staff
* Ensuring all documentation management complies with our system
* Liaising with customers and suppliers on various business matters
* Processing invoices for the team as required
* Contributing to consistent and appropriate communication within the team
* Reviewing current procedures and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
About you
Your education, experience and skills will include
* Previous administration experience is essential
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with aXcelerate, or other Learning Management Systems (desirable but not essential)
* Previous experience in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) (desirable but not essential)
* High level of computer literacy with advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Ability to prioritise and organise work effectively whilst maintaining accuracy
* Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable)
* Previous experience in a customer service environment
* Friendly and professional outlook combined with a strong work ethic
