About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and deliver the full HR function across the multi-venue organisation including a staff of approximately 300.
This is a broad, hands-on leadership role responsible for recruitment, training and development, employee relations, performance management, compliance, policy development and workforce systems. Working closely with Executive Management and venue leaders, you will ensure the organisation maintains a capable, compliant and well-supported workforce.
You will be supported by an HR Assistant and will play a central role in shaping and continuously improving people practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities
This role has primary responsibility for the practical delivery of HR across the business,
including:
Recruitment and Workforce Planning
* Leading end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across multiple venues
* Partnering with managers to understand workforce needs and staffing requirements
* Preparing and managing job advertisements, screening, interviews and offers
* Coordinating employment contracts and documentation
Training, Development and Compliance
* Assessing training needs and coordinating internal and external training programs
* Developing and maintaining training plans and certification frameworks
* Ensuring all employees meet mandatory training and compliance requirements
* Supporting ongoing professional development initiatives
Employee Relations and Performance Management
* Providing advice and support on employee relations matters
* Managing performance reviews, improvement plans and disciplinary processes
* Supporting conflict resolution and workplace engagement
* Maintaining clear and accurate documentation
HR Policy, Governance and Industrial Relations
* Developing, reviewing and maintaining HR and training policies
* Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, EBA, awards and regulations
* Coordinating external HR/IR and legal advice where required
* Implementing agreed compliance and governance outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a practical, confident HR professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
You will ideally have:
* Formal qualifications in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
* Proven experience managing HR in an organisation with 200+ employees
* Strong background in high-volume recruitment and workforce coordination
* Demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management
* Sound working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
* Strong organisational and administrative capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence engaging with managers and employees at all levels
* Experience in hospitality, clubs, tourism or multi-site environments (highly regarded)
