We currently have multiple schools in the North Tyneside area who are looking to recruit Secondary Learning Support Assistants to support their students. This role can involve working 1:1 with children, some of whom have Special Education Needs (SEN).
Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will include but not be limited to:
* Working with targeted students across KS3 to KS5 (preference will be considered)
* Supporting targeted students 1:1, in class and in small groups
* Suitable for experienced Graduates, qualified Teaching Assistants, and those with SEN experience.
* Term time only, Monday – Friday
The ideal candidate for this Learning Support Assistant position will have the following:
* Experience working with children and young people with SEN – either professional or personal
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to acquire one.
* Experience of working within a similar environment or with children is essential
* A strong passion for working with children and young people
