The Organisational Design branch provides an organisational design consultancy to align job design and organisational structures with operational needs and strategies. Our team's activities include:
developing and classifying job description forms
change management support for employment structure shifts
developing competency frameworks
promoting public sector job design principles at a system level.
The Role
As part of a newly established Organisational Design Operations team, the Organisational Design Officer will be responsible for undertaking research and analysis of job classification requests, including preparing reports and recommendations for senior management, as well as developing and reviewing job description forms and assessing requests for new or amended roles. The role provides advice to staff on HR legislation, policies and procedures, and supports staff with organisational data and changes including the creation, modification and abolishment of positions.
The position also contributes to classification and job design policy and process development, assists with continuous improvement initiatives and provides information and input to enquiries, Ministerial and parliamentary correspondence.
