Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant based in Sydney, NSW. The Assistant Accountant will support the financial operations of the organisation by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with payroll, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Additional responsibilities include supporting month-end closing processes, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and accounts management
* Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets
* Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information
* Experience with payroll processing and compliance
* Effective time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Bachelor's degree or TAFE Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Previous experience in a similar accounting role is advantageous
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
