Sales Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sales Consultant to represent our company in the sale of equipment to customers within a specific geographic area. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to build and maintain long-term relationships, and have a strong understanding of the sales industry.

About the Role:
\
\
1. Represent the company in the sale of equipment to customers within a designated area.
\
2. Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
\
3. Implement and maintain regular call cycles within a given area of responsibility.
\
4. Monitor trends in customer business and competitors' activity/products.
\
5. Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
\
6. Achieve sales objectives set by the company as part of the sales planning process, including but not limited to market share.
\
7. Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events.
\
8. Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
\
9. Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
\
10. Attend applicable sales training events/seminars.
\
11. Timely communication of trends, activity, sales reports, etc. to Management.
\
12. Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

13. The ability to grow sales within a specified sales territory.
\
14. Organization skills are a must-have.
\
15. The capability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.
\
16. A strong communicator with the skill to effectively influence others.
\
17. Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
\
18. Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset.
