Phillip Riley is seeking Account Managers with experience managing a high volume of clients to join a HV electricity transmission network service operator in Brisbane.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Market Development Manager and working closely with cross-functional teams, this role will see you manage a selected portfolio of client accounts and foster strong relationships with customers.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing a focused portfolio of client accounts in the energy transmission sector;
- Understanding each client's unique business and tailoring fit-for-purpose account management strategies;
- Triaging portfolio clients to identify priority accounts and effectively allocate time/resources;
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients;
- Acting as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issues, or requests;
- Identifying new business opportunities within your portfolio of accounts and regularly re-assessing performance, identifying growth opportunities, and developing account-specific strategies;
- Developing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals;
- Advocating for customers' needs internally and coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded;
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of solutions;
- Contributing to a collaborative culture, essential to achieving customer satisfaction and business objectives.
An understanding of the energy transmission sector - encompassing technologies, market trends, and regulatory frameworks - will be highly regarded.
**About You**
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree-level qualifications in Business, Engineering, Economics, Law, or a related discipline, **or** equivalent industry/role-related experience;
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, ideally within the energy transmission sector;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Analytical mindset with skills in conducting market research, analysing data, and identifying strategic growth opportunities;
- Ability to manage a high volume of accounts and projects simultaneously;
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft 365, and other relevant sales/project management tools;
- Result-oriented self-starter able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment;
- Flexibility to travel to client sites, industry events, and off-site company locations as required.
- Knowledge of energy transmission technologies, including power transmission lines, substations, and associated equipment;
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements in the energy transmission industry;
- Experience in an engineering / commercial consulting environment.
