**About the Role** 
The Coordinator Visual Art & Activations plays a critical role within the Arts, Festivals and Events unit, coordinating a team focused on visual art, public art and art activation, graffiti mitigation managing the City Collection. 
The role will devise and deliver creative projects that respond to priority precincts and initiatives, lead visual art programs, and play a leadership role within the team and broader department. 
**Duties**: 
- Lead creative and cultural activations in public space 
- Management of visual art and heritage services including the City Art and Heritage Collections, Carlisle St Arts Space, public art, and associated programs 
- Integrate graffiti mitigation initiatives with creative opportunities and activation priorities 
- Lead the Visual Art & Activations team to ensure engagement, alignment, and collaboration across the organisation while meeting governance and compliance standards 
**Skills and Experience** 
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of visual art or related services within the public realm 
- Experience in team leadership and staff management 
- Knowledge of project management techniques and frameworks, with demonstrated end to end delivery experience 
- Experience in development or implementation of strategic planning and priorities within a dynamic or political environment 
- Experience within the public sector 
- Highly developed communication skills, including report writing
