We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join the Store network to assist in leading the team in our Bendigo store.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the store, maximize sales opportunities through coaching and developing a team, maintaining store presentation and merchandising, and lead store safety.What a typical day looks likeAssist with leading, coaching, and developing a small teamProvide a high level of customer service, assisting customers with product selection and technical advice.Build strong relationships with new and existing customersTint/prepare paint products to customer requirementsMaintain stock control and management of inventoryAct as an escalation point for customer inquiriesProcess POS and end-of-day transactionsMake local deliveries to trade customers as needed using the company vehicleAssist with in-store displays, store presentation, and merchandisingAssist the Sales team in growing trade, industrial, and retail businessDrive a safety-first approach in the storeThe successful applicant will have:Leadership skills complemented by experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring teamsPrevious experience working as a 2IC in a customer service role in retail/salesStrong people and customer engagement skillsA genuine desire to deliver and be a leader for outstanding servicePoint of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvinessExperience with stock handling and merchandisingEffective time management and planning capabilityResilience to handle work-related pressures such as workload, pace, or conflictAutonomy to either follow processes or make meaningful value-adding improvementsAn unrestricted driver's license and the capacity to perform manual tasks e.g., lifting of 15-litre cans of paint.Benefits50% off retail price of Haymes Paint manufactured products, including friends and family discounts6% Medibank Corporate discount20% New Balance discountOngoing training and supportAccess to a range of workplace health and wellbeing initiativesProfessional development opportunitiesPlease apply by including a recent resume and responding to the selection questions.
