As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their independence.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support to people with disabilities in various environments, including residential settings and community-based outings. This may involve assisting with personal activities such as hygiene, using manual handling equipment, administering medication, preparing meals, and supporting participants with engaging in social and recreational activities.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans, ensuring that each participant's needs are met and their rights are respected.
To be successful in this position, you will require:
* Experience working with people who have complex needs
* Australian Driver's License
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Manual handling Training
* Medication Training
* MAPA Training (desirable)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Working with Children Check (paid employment)
