MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
Working alongside the Sous Chef and overseeing all aspects of mise en place preparation.
Responsible for pans, deep fryer, and oven during service periods.
In the absence of the Sous Chef, overseeing apprentices and kitchenhands, ensuring they adhere to food safety protocols, follow recipes, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in accordance with company policy.
Ensuring food quality and presentation meet the standards set by the Manager.
Following safe work practices, including the responsible use of chemicals and hot liquids.
Adhering to uniform policies and maintaining high personal hygiene standards.
Following correct manual handling procedures and knife skills.
Ensuring high standards and best practices when handling food.
Willingness to work weekends and split shifts.
