If you're passionate about making a real impact and thrive in dynamic environments, this could be your next career move.About the RoleAs our Emergency Management Officer, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our community and environment through proactive planning, strategic leadership, and operational coordination.
This role is perfect for someone who can think on their feet, lead with confidence, and foster strong partnerships with emergency services and community stakeholders.What You'll Be Doing:Leading the development and implementation of emergency management policies and plans across the organisation and community.Coordinating and executing key initiatives such as the Firebreak Program, Cyclone Inspections, and Bushfire Mitigation Programs.Acting as a key liaison for the City on Local Emergency Management Committees and during emergency events.Managing grant funding applications and budgets related to emergency preparedness and community resilience.Maintaining the City's Local Emergency Management Arrangements (LEMA) and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Emergency Management Act 2005 and Bush Fires Act 1954.Collaborating closely with agencies such as DFES, WA Police, and other emergency service providers.What We're Looking For:You're a natural communicator and organiser, with strong judgement and a proactive approach.
