The Role
Reporting directly to Head of Library and working closely with Library and campus teaching staff, the Library Technician will support the operations of the campus library and ultimately the wider community in best utilising the library and information services.
This is a 2-year fixed-term part-time opportunity (3 days a week) based at our Wheelers Hill Campus starting in ****.
Duties and Responsibilities
Library Management System (Oliver) Management
Oversee and manage all aspects of Library Management System (Oliver)
Oversee and maintain BorrowBox e-book and audiobook libraries
Oversee and undertake an annual stocktake of the physical collection
Oversee the returns process including overdue items
Create materials to promote aspects of the collection
Develop and institute cataloguing procedures
Coordinate collections, locations and back-end processing efficiently
Maintain and catalogue subscriptions records
Source, process and catalogue materials, such as print/electronic resources
Oversee and conduct regular weeding of the collection
Role Requirements
Knowledge, experience and passion for learning necessary to inspire and drive strategy
The ability to relate to and communicate with Junior and Senior School students, teachers and staff
Ability to map collections and content to the curriculum
