The Food Service Assistant role involves working collaboratively as part of a team within the Food Service Department to contribute towards various activities related to food and/or formula production, distribution, and food storage.
This ensures that patients receive high-quality meals and feeds in a timely and accurate manner. Some of the key responsibilities include being cross-trained across multiple roles within food services, such as assisting with patient meal setup, delivering patient meals to their bedside, collecting patient meal trays, and dishwashing.
Additionally, tasks may include duties in the central formula room, including bottle washing and preparation of infant formula/enteral feeds.
The classification for this position ranges from IN13 - IN14, Food and Domestic Assistant Grade 1 to Food and Domestic Assistant Grade 2.
