The role:

The Account Director works closely with the Business Director in driving client business growth by unlocking the client's business opportunity and Starcom capability, delivering outstanding client service, innovative and ambitious client solutions and driving communication planning excellence. As a valued member of the team, the Account Director is responsible for driving and enhancing our agency's culture of Never Standing Still.

Key Responsibilities:

Client:

* Builds strong client relationships as a trusted advisor with mid -level client and industry stakeholders
* Leads client activity to deliver innovative and ambitious communications plans that deliver client objectives and key performance indicators
* Deepens the client relationship to ensure retention and growth
* Has a deep client business understanding in order to ensure best audience and business outcomes are delivered.

Commercial:

* Support CDS/BD in driving the team's organic revenue growth target across key clients
* Ensure that all solutions are anchored in driving the desired business outcome
* Manages systems for forecasting accurate spend and track progress
* Plays a key part in client pitches, delivering market leading planning responses
* Liaises frequently with investment team to ensure plans consider trading requirements
* Collaborate with finance and senior leadership to ensure forecasts are delivered with 100% accuracy

People:

* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring clear career progression pathways
* Manages team to ensure they also build strong relationships with their counterparts to deliver outstanding client service
* Works collaboratively with the Strategy and Planning team to deliver innovative and strategic solutions for clients
* Drive a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and cultivate a culture of Never Standing Still amongst the team
* Develops best practice and more efficient ways of working and to ensure this is followed by teams

Skills & Competencies:

* Strong all round client knowledge and client relationship skills
* Strong overall knowledge of Starcom products and services
* Strong business Acumen
* Knowledge of industry standard planning tools
* Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a good standard
* Experience leading medium client/team
* Experience working in cross-functional teams
* Strong Communications Planning experience including digital channels
* Strong relationships with senior media owners
* Attention to detail that is second to none
