We are seeking a commercially grounded Senior Group Accountant to lead the Group’s financial operations, starting immediately on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is central to the organisation’s financial governance and commercial performance. It combines operational discipline with strategic leadership, acting as a trusted financial partner to the General Manager and business owner, while working closely with divisional leaders to ensure the business is well-funded, well-controlled, and positioned to perform across a highly seasonal trading cycle. Key responsibilities include: Own end-to-end financial management across all Group entities Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts, consolidated reporting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with Australian statutory obligations including tax, BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and payroll Manage year-end close, audit processes, and statutory reporting requirements Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across a highly seasonal trading cycle Actively manage USD exposure arising from offshore procurement, including FX strategy, settlement timing, and hedging where appropriate Align inventory commitments, supplier payment terms, and cash requirements with sales cycles and demand forecasts Coordinate tax compliance, advisory, and structuring matters across operating entities, trusts, and owner interests Lead, coordinate, and develop the offshore accountant and local bookkeeper Partner with the GM on strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting Provide commercial insight on pricing, margins, supplier terms, inventory strategy, and investment decisions Support scenario modelling for demand volatility, FX movements, and supply-chain timing The succesful candidate will have: CA / CPA qualification Proven experience in a multi-entity group environment Strong working knowledge of NetSuite Demonstrated experience managing cash flow, FX exposure, and seasonal working capital Solid understanding of Australian tax, payroll, and compliance frameworks Experience with offshore sourcing and USD-denominated supply chains (desireable) Exposure to wholesale, manufacturing, retail, or inventory-intensive businesses (desireable) Experience managing ERP transitions (MYOB → NetSuite) (desireable) To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
