About the Role
The role of Executive Director, Technology Strategy and Assurance is a pivotal whole-of-government leadership position that shapes and delivers the Victorian Government's technology strategy.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary Digital and Government Services, this role provides authoritative advice to Ministers and senior executives, ensuring investment decisions, policies, and enterprise architecture align with government priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the development and assurance of technology systems and resources
* Foster strong partnerships with departments, agencies, and industry
* Drive cross-government collaboration
* Set strategic direction, manage risk, and build capability to ensure technology solutions deliver lasting value for the Victorian community
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in working at a senior level to shape business strategy and promote innovation and improvement
* Demonstrated experience working at a senior executive level to deliver technology and transformation outcomes that align with business strategy
* Proven experience and demonstrated capacity to identify and address emerging infrastructure, network, and platform issues through high-level conceptual analysis, risk management, and providing advice to senior stakeholders in a sensitive environment
* Demonstrated capacity to lead a range of complex digital and technology projects through partnerships with people across business areas, functions, and departments, including whole-of-government projects, and deliver timely and high-quality outcomes
