Our client is seeking a highly skilled AO6 Management Accountant to join their team for an initial 6 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of best practice financial management services across the department. You will be involved in a variety of financial management activities and business improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations through detailed evaluations of complex financial and budgeting challenges.
What you'll do :
* Conduct detailed evaluations of complex financial and budgeting challenges
* Assist in the annual budget build and review process
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business units
* Conduct detailed analyses of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
* Build and analyse financial models and forecasts to support scenario planning
* Assist in maintaining and improving financial control environments
* Develop an IT project budget in partnership with the business and in alignment with finance requirements
* Build new finance dashboards in Power BI to track FTE and FTE drivers
* Conduct scenario analysis on department-wide cost drivers to identify cost pressures and opportunities
* Ad-hoc duties as required
What you'll bring :
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial challenges
* Experience in budget development and management
* Ability to perform in-depth financial analysis
* Experience in scenario modelling and forecasting
* Knowledge of maintaining and improving financial control environments
* Advanced Excel skills, including scenario analysis and financial modelling
* Power BI, with the ability to create and build reports
