Mental Health Clinician, Murrumbidgee Region
The Mental Health Clinician engages with communities impacted by adversity and delivers effective mental health support to individuals or groups.
About The Role
This role works under a person‑centred, recovery philosophy and collaborates with other programs and key stakeholders, including General Practitioners, Local Health District Clinicians, non‑government organisations (NGOs) and government organisations to provide high‑quality outcomes for consumers and their families and carers.
It is a full‑time, fixed‑term position based in the Murrumbidgee region, ending 30th June 2027. Full‑time employees may take a Rostered Day Off each month.

Duties
* Work collaboratively within the Mental Health team to undertake individual assessments
* Develop targeted mental‑health support plans
* Provide evidence‑based psychological interventions for a diverse range of consumers with mental health needs and their families and carers
Skills & Experience
* Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Aboriginal Health Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation (or working towards) with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental‑health assessments and developing intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their families and carers.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence‑based therapeutic services.
* Understanding of the biological, psychological and social underpinnings of mental health.
