Job Title: Youth Officer
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Youth Officer at the Zone Youth Space. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people and making a positive impact in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of programs aimed at young people aged 10 to 18 years.
* Engage with, motivate, and supervise young people in both the daily drop-in times and other programs at Zone Youth Space.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build positive relationships and achieve outcomes for young people.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in youth program planning, development, and delivery or a similar role.
* Well-developed knowledge of social issues that impact young people, as well as Indigenous and CaLD culture and related impacts for young people in urban settings.
* Sound analytical, report writing, data collection, and computer literacy skills.
* Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
* Tertiary qualification in youth work or similar, or significant experience in a related field.
Benefits:
* $45.33 per hour (inclusive of casual loading).
* This position is classified as a Band 5 under the City's structured remuneration system.
