At Cornerstone Strength & Conditioning, we’re not just filling a roster. We’re building a legacy of quality coaching, athlete development, and community leadership across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
We’re searching for a coach who’s more than just competent — someone driven, and ready to take ownership of a key role in our facilities, particularly in developing and running our athlete program .
This is a part-time role to start, but for the right person, there's real potential to step into something bigger — full-time, program ownership, and a career path with purpose.
What We’re Looking For:
* An Coach with Experience – confident leading group sessions and working independently.
* A Builder – someone excited by the idea of helping build out our athlete development program in the Hunter Valley.
* A Leader & Collaborator – a coach who can bring energy, lead from the front, and be part of a high-performing team.
* An Growth Mindset – if you bring in value, you'll have opportunities to shape your own future here.
This role is perfect for someone who wants more than just hours on the floor. If you want to make your mark, influence how programs run, and grow your own future, this is it.
Who We Are:

Our vision is to help 100,000 individuals in regional Australia unlock their health and performance potential — and create a clear pathway for 100 athletes to reach the pinnacle of their sport.
We live by four core values: People First | Quality Always | Growth Mindset | Fun & Friendships
The Role:
This role is tailored around two main areas :
1. Coaching Group Sessions
* Deliver engaging and technically sound sessions for adults and youth.
* Build relationships, bring energy, and elevate the training environment.
1. Athlete Program Development
* Help grow our athlete offering in the Hunter region and support Newcastle facility.
* Take the lead on programming, building relationships with local teams/clubs, and delivering sessions that develop performance.
You’ll also be supported by a strong team with over 50 years of combined coaching experience — and opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and leadership.
What You’ll Get:
* Guaranteed part-time hours to start (exact hours to be discussed).
* The opportunity to build out your own programs and earn additional income through personal training, team coaching or specialty programs.
* Mentorship and ongoing development in both coaching and business.
* Access to all of our internal systems and resources — no need to reinvent the wheel.
* A clear growth pathway into full-time employment or leadership roles.
* Competitive hourly pay and wellness incentives.
You’ll Need:
* Cert IV in Fitness + ASCA or a Sport Science Degree (or working towards it).
* At least 1–2 years of real-world coaching experience.
* A passion for coaching — particularly group training, youth, and athletes.
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead from the front.
* A strong personal commitment to training, learning, and growing.
* Bonus: existing connections in the Hunter Valley or ability to bring clients/teams with you.
How to Apply:
If you're ready to be more than “just another coach” — and want to make a meaningful difference while building a fulfilling career — we want to hear from you.
Email your resume AND a cover letter to Tell us:
* Why you're a coach — and what lights you up about it
* What you're most excited to bring to this role
* How you could see yourself growing with us
We’re not in a rush to fill this — we’re after the right person. So if you think that might be you, don’t hold back.
Let’s build something powerful. Together.
