About the Role
Your role as a Violence Prevention Practitioner involves supporting individuals who utilize violence to make positive changes. Key responsibilities include:
* Case Management: Working one-to-one with clients to assess and mitigate barriers to change, such as homelessness, mental health issues, drug abuse, etc.
* Counselling: Challenging violent narratives and supporting strategies for positive change.
* Intake Assessment: Identifying clients' needs, risks, and barriers towards developing an appropriate support plan incorporating counselling and/or case management.
* Engagement Opportunities: Responding to initial inquiries and co-facilitating a Behaviour Change Program.
About You
We are seeking a high-performing specialist family violence practitioner with extensive experience working with complex cases. Ideal candidates will possess:
* Extensive experience working with sensitive and complex family violence cases.
* Ability to support and develop multi-disciplinary practitioners.
* Passion for service reform, integrated service delivery, and improving outcomes for women, children, and families.
* Strong experience managing stakeholder relationships and working in partnership.
Requirements

* Demonstrable capability in knowledge translation and provision of advice, coaching, and mentoring.
* Ability to work within an Integrated Practice Framework.
* Leadership capability when working in partnership with community service organizations and government agencies.
* Complex casework management skills.
