Overview
CJD Equipment Guildford are seeking a mechanically minded Planner / Scheduler to join their state service team, working with world-class Volvo Construction Equipment.
The purpose of this role is to provide a detailed scope for new machine build scheduling. You will need to be proactive and have strong problem-solving skills, being able to report and manage any deviations caused by short lead time orders, changes in customer delivery requirements, shipping/transport changes and supplier and contractor inputs that have the potential to affect machine delivery.
The Planner / Scheduler contributes with ongoing management and reporting for build schedule capacity, including resource demands enabling compliance to plan within the relevant team, with focus on achieving new machine completion promise dates with planning for Labour, Parts, Suppliers and Contractors, mitigating shortages or completion date bunching using effective scheduling and planning.
The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm
What we want in a candidate
- Good communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Experience within a Maintenance or Project management Role.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create and maintain successful working relationships
- Experience with planning tools such as Project or SAP
- Advanced computer literacy skills – experience with the MS Office suite, DMS and EQM systems.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- High attention to detail with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
- Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage changing workloads and priorities to meet objectives
- A team player that enjoys success
