About the Team
CHQ Pharmacy is dedicated to providing and supporting high quality clinical and medication management services to the children and young people of CHQ. The pharmacy service has a staff of approximately 110, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrative staff and support staff. The pharmacy team provides services to inpatients, outpatients, hospital in the home, cancer care services, poisons information, aseptic compounding, clinical trials along with safety, quality and governance. The Queensland Poisons Information Service is part of CHQ Pharmacy and provides 24hour a day emergency service in cases of poisoning.
About the Role
The position of Pharmacy Assistant Advanced – Aseptic Production Unit will work in accordance with current legislation and Australian pharmacy and medicines professional standards and guidelines. It will provide technical services and promote continuous improvement in skilled standards (e.g. Good Manufacturing Practice) and service delivery with minimal operational supervision.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to patient care as a member of the CHQ Pharmacy Aseptic Production Unit (APU) by demonstrating leadership and providing advanced technical support to pharmacists and technicians in the delivery of an efficient and effective medicines management service in the APU and other areas.
* Provide technical services and promote continuous improvement in skilled standards (e.g. Good Manufacturing Practice) and service delivery with minimal operational supervision.
