Job Title: Community Support Specialist

As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality in-home support services to individuals, enabling them to live independently and maintain their connection to their community.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

* Personal Care: assisting with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management.
* Social Support: accompanying clients to social activities, shopping, and medical appointments, promoting social interaction and independence.
* Domestic Assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, helping to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
* Support with Equipment and Aids: assisting clients in using aids and personal equipment, promoting independence and confidence.
* Monitoring Progress: regularly assessing the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress, ensuring the highest level of care and support.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

* Excellent Interpersonal Skills: building rapport with clients and their families, as well as working effectively with healthcare professionals.
* Effective Communication: clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, essential for maintaining accurate records and reporting progress.
* Comfort with Technology: confident use of mobile devices and apps for accessing schedules, recording client information, and receiving updates.
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: holding current clearance and being willing to undergo regular checks.
* Vaccination and First Aid Certificates: up-to-date vaccination status and current first aid certification, demonstrating a commitment to health and safety.
* Australian Drivers License and Vehicle: holding a current driver's license and access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
* Smart Phone and Internet Access: possessing a smartphone with internet connectivity, essential for staying connected with clients and colleagues.
