Your opportunity

We are seeking a highly capable Executive Officer (AO6) to provide trusted, confidential executive support to the Chief Fire Officer in a high-profile and highly respected role within the organisation.

This position plays a key role in enabling executive leadership by managing complex priorities, coordinating high-level communication, and ensuring the smooth operation of the executive office. The role offers exceptional exposure, professional growth, and the opportunity to contribute directly to QFD's people strategy and organisational success.

In this role, you will:

* Manage executive workflows, priorities and office operations
* Prepare and quality-check correspondence, reports, submissions, presentations and speeches
* Provide high-level secretariat support including agendas, minutes and action tracking
* Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Support workforce, budget and HR activities
* Lead projects, undertake research and provide strategic advice
* Represent the directorate in internal and external forums


About you

You will bring experience providing executive support at a senior level, strong organisational and communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

* Experience in providing Executive administrative support
* Strong knowledge of Government legislation and processes
* High-level analytical, documentation and reporting skills
* Ability to build relationships and communicate requirements clearly
* A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
