The Role
We are working with a top-tier Australian law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their Corporate M&A practice within their Brisbane office.
The successful candidate will join a nationally regarded Corporate M&A and Capital Markets team, working on a broad range of high-profile transactions and M&A matters, with a focus on energy, resources and critical minerals sectors. The candidate will work on matters such as private and public M&A across resources and energy sectors, M&A and joint ventures in the mining and oil and gas sectors, and energy and resources project development and operations. The candidate will play a key role in cases involving life-changing injuries, sensitive circumstances, and issues of national significance. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to lead and participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Qualifications
* 4+ PQE
* Solid background in corporate M&A across public and private transactions. Experience advising on oil and gas M&A and/or joint ventures highly advantageous
* Outstanding academics
* Technically excellent
* Willingness to become involved in business development
* Ability to work independently and as a team
