Due to the Payroll Manager being seconded onto a Dayforce implementation payroll project, this well‐established engineering company has created a 6‐month fixed‐term contract to support a team of four processing payroll for approximately 800 employees.

Responsibilities
* Work with three payroll officers and the manager to manage multi‐state, end‐to‐end payroll for approx. 800 employees.
* Process payroll weekly, fortnightly, and monthly, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
* Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
* Obtain necessary authorisations before making changes to employee records.
* Ensure the payroll system is accurately set up with the latest pay rates and maintains current master data.
* Validate all time sheets against established protocols and budgets.
* Ensure payments and remittances are made on schedule and optimise system efficiency.
* Prepare and remit statutory reports, taxes, superannuation payments, and other statutory obligations by their due dates.
* Communicate effectively with employees and contractors regarding payslips, superannuation, leave entitlements, and separation certificates.
* Calculate and process termination and redundancy payments.
* Complete and submit payroll‐related monthly and annual reports and reconciliations by the agreed dates.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of end‐to‐end payroll experience.
* Experience with ERP systems similar to Preceda, and willingness to work with various payroll platforms.
* Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proactive, can‐do attitude.
