The Planning and Advisory team is seeking an energetic and skilled individual to join our team as Director, Infrastructure Analysis. This role supports the commercial, technical and financial development of the Territories’ capital works projects and manage key stakeholder relationships across the Territory, resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes consistent with the strategic direction of Infrastructure Canberra You will work closely with internal teams, Treasury, and other directorates to ensure alignment and quality in infrastructure proposals. Our work is grounded in collaboration, evidence-based analysis, and a commitment to delivering public value through well-planned infrastructure investment.
As Director, you will:
- Lead and coordinate with agencies in the development of new projects, business cases, feasibility studies for major infrastructure projects and programs.
- Provide analysis and advice on the commercial, technical and financial aspects of infrastructure projects and programs.
- Manage, coordinate, liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain accurate records of meetings, negotiations and key outcomes.
- Support the broader policy and project remit of the Planning and Advisory team and Infrastructure Canberra.
Eligibility/Other requirements: We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Robust liaison experience with senior representatives within the public sector agencies or senior private sector executives
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the ACT Government and Major Projects Canberra Values framework, workplace respect, equity and diversity framework, workplace health and safety best practice and industrial democracy principles and practice
- Relevant tertiary qualifications complimentary to the role would be highly desirable: for example, financial, economics, business and/or relevant infrastructure related fields.
- Skills associated with producing graphics and mapping in support of planning for and describing infrastructure (Construction) projects
- An understanding of the requirements for procurement, program management and contract management of consultants in the early stages of infrastructure development.
