Fitter Tradesperson - Central Workshop
Location: Peak Downs Highway, Mackay, QLD, 4741, Australia. Employee Type: Permanent Full-Time.
About the role
You will be able to use your skills in a unique industry as a key member of the Central Workshop maintenance team located at Racecourse Mill. A team-based position focused on meeting challenging targets of throughput, safety, and quality. You will help to ensure the successful operation and performance of all Mills and supporting infrastructure and equipment. The role will involve performing maintenance and repairs to factory plant and machinery.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Excellent focus on safety and a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of all work colleagues
* Engineering Trade Qualification (Machinist / Mechanical Fitter)
* Experience in heavy industry repair and maintenance is desirable although not essential.
* Hold Full Working Rights for Australia
* Time management and ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Maintain high work standards with minimal supervision.
* Problem solve and show a high level of initiative.
* Respect for their team, and a strong work ethic with a hands‐on approach
