Permanent Full Time Critical Infrastructure Environment Melbourne VIC - Inner West (Onsite Work) A leading data centre and critical infrastructure organisation is currently seeking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure across both Corporate IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role acts as a subject matter expert, driving architectural decisions, optimising performance, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while supporting critical business operations. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, secure network solutions across IT and OT environments. Act as the network SME, providing technical leadership and resolving complex issues. Deliver network projects on time, within scope and budget. Monitor and optimise network performance, availability, and reliability. Manage network architecture, lifecycle, and associated documentation. Provide Level 3 support and coordinate with internal teams and vendors. Drive network automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage vendor relationships and support commercial outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders to align network solutions with business needs. Mentor team members and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture. Key Requirements: 8 years’ experience in senior network engineering roles Strong experience with multi-vendor networking (routing, switching, security, wireless, voice) Solid understanding of core networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VPNs, MPLS, VLAN/VXLAN, HA protocols) Experience with cloud networking, particularly Azure and M365 Experience with network monitoring and automation tools (e.g. PRTG, Ansible, Terraform) Exposure to cloud-managed networking platforms (e.g. Juniper Mist, Aruba Central) Background in data centres, critical infrastructure, or hybrid IT/OT environments Understanding of project delivery and change management processes Willingness to travel between sites as required Australian citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance Salary Package: $160K-$180k Base Superannuation (depending on experience) Job Ref: 4045927 TO APPLY: please click on the appropriate link.
