In this dynamic role, you’ll deliver Council’s Recovery Plans, support community projects and partnerships, and provide strategic advice that helps shape positive outcomes for the Redlands community. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll lead initiatives that build community capacity, foster collaboration, and ensure our region is prepared to respond to current and future challenges. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and delivering community capacity-building, recovery initiatives, and projects that strengthen Redlands Coast communities Building and maintaining strong relationships with community groups, government agencies, and key stakeholders Supporting best practice in council and community planning to enhance service delivery and community development Undertake research and provide strategic advice to guide community capacity and resilience initiatives Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team while also operating independently, including travel to the City’s islands Preparing clear documentation, reports, and project budgets in line with Council’s frameworks and requirements Skills and experience: Strong knowledge of community development and recovery, with experience working across diverse communities Proven project management skills to deliver positive outcomes for stakeholders and corporate goals Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with stakeholders at all levels Ability to provide analytical advice and develop creative, practical solutions to build community capacity Experience collaborating with local partners to identify needs and deliver effective community programs Strong self-leadership, time management, and teamwork skills in both independent and multi-disciplinary settings Make sure to read the full Position Description before applying - it outlines everything you need to tailor your resume and cover letter.
