**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager who will oversee the development and implementation of corporate and internal communications covering a dispersed and diverse workforce.
This is a business critical role that will work in alignment with Komatsu's organisational goals and strategic initiatives to enhance Komatsu's reputation and brand, building employee advocacy and supporting alignment and consistency of corporate communication.
**Key Accountabilities will include**:
- Design, develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that provides line of sight and awareness of key topics across the entire organisation, with the ultimate goal of enhancing employee engagement and ensuring strategic alignment. This strategy should include communication channels, technology, frequency, process and messaging techniques.
- Liaise with and advise business leaders within the company to develop messaging and content. Specifically, this role will be responsible for creation of the content.
- Work across the internal business teams to develop messaging and communication plans for key strategic initiatives
- Advance the communications capability across the business to ensure timely information flow, and relevance of content to optimise cut through. Ensure consistency of messaging and strategic alignment, and minimise communication overload and change fatigue.
- Content creation: Including planning, writing and editing materials, and preparing communications in other formats including Powerpoint, as well as co-ordinating the production of collateral through the creative team in the marketing department. Research and integrate content from Komatsu Australia, global Komatsu sources as well as related companies/subsidiaries, relevant industry bodies, customers and other stakeholders
- Take ownership of key internal communication channels (including but not limited to Yammer, Internal Bulletins, MD Quarterly Videos, Intranet News, Podcasts). Moderate conversations in digital channels, and escalate or delegate responses where required
- Prepare monthly talking points for use by leaders in the business (including in branches and regional offices).
- Plan, edit and write speeches for the Managing Director
- Act as internal communication lead for Crisis management

**What we are looking for**:
- Experience in a similar role within Internal Communications, Public Relations or Journalism within a strategic corporate function
- Exceptional verbal and written skills
- Ability to work across a range of projects and stakeholders within an organisation
- Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Communications or Marketing
