Role Description This is a full-time workshop-based Electronics Engineer role located in Dandenong South.
You will be responsible for; · day-to-day tasks such as Industrial electronic and control equipment diagnostics and repair · Reverse engineering, circuit design and remanufacturing · Developing apparatus and procedures to test electronic components, circuits and system · Electrical and power electronics system identification and testing · Troubleshooting, repairing, and testing industrial electronic equipment · Developing and implementing solutions (software and hardware) to improve equipment performance and reliability.
· Establishing and monitoring performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance and repair of such systems · Designing and developing signal processing algorithms and implementing these through appropriate choice of hardware and software · Documenting work performed and providing technical support to customers.
As we repair and refurbish a wide range of electronic products, including VSD, PLC, HMI, power electronics, IGBT.
converter, inverter products and more, it is expected that the successful candidate has hand's-on diagnostic experienced in fault finding and repairing equipment from Allen-Bradley, ABB, Mitsubishi, GE, Siemens, Hitachi or other brands Skills required: · Ability to fault-find and repair electronic circuits at component level (both Surface Mount and Through Hole technologies), even in the absence of schematics is a necessary requirement of this role, · good soldering desoldering skills.
Qualifications and Experience · Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Australian-recognised) and Australian Master in Electrical and Electronics Engineering will be preferred · Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electronics Engineer, including at least 1 year in Australia · Expertise in electronic engineering, circuit design, fault-finding, electronics, or electrical engineering · Have the know-how to build testing jigs when required · Reverse engineering and design skills using Altium or similar systems · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills · Experience with testing and diagnosis of industrial electronic PCBs · Mechanical aptitude for dismantling and reassembly equipment being repaired · Experience using power tools · Familiarity with industrial control systems · Strong attention to detail and documentation · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Excellent soldering skills on all levels of SMD components · Experience with repair and refurbishment of industrial electronic equipment No calls.
