The role:
As a Data Security Consultant (Microsoft Purview), you’ll work with customers to assess, design, implement, and operationalise Purview data security controls across Microsoft 365 / Implement controls to secure data from Copilot/AI. You’ll translate business and compliance needs into practical policies, support adoption, and help customers run the solution day-to-day. You will also help with envisioning workshops across Microsoft Purview workloads
What you'll do
* Lead envisioning workshops across Microsoft Purview
* Lead Purview deployments across Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk, and Data Lifecycle/Records Management
* Design and implement sensitivity label frameworks (taxonomy, encryption, scope, publishing, governance)
* Configure and tune auto-labelling and DLP policies with a focus on measurable outcomes and reduced noise
* Implement Insider Risk policies and support investigations with clear triage and escalation workflows
* Deliver workshops, documentation, runbooks, and enablement to improve customer adoption
* Partner with security/compliance stakeholders and align solutions to business risk and regulatory requirements
What you'll bring
* 4+ years implementing and/or consulting on Microsoft Purview (data security) capabilities
* Strong practical knowledge of:
o Sensitivity labels + encryption concepts and rollout strategy
o DLP design, testing, exceptions, and monitoring
o Insider Risk policy setup and operational workflows
o Retention / Records Management design (labels, policies, disposition)
* Solid foundational knowledge of SharePoint Online (information architecture and collaboration patterns)
Desired Attributes:
* Experience integrating with or working alongside Microsoft Defender XDR
* Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID Identity Protection / Conditional Access
* Experience with customer-facing consulting
o Insider Risk policy setup and operational workflows
o Retention / Records Management design (labels, policies, disposition)
* Solid foundational knowledge of SharePoint Online (information architecture and collaboration patterns)
* Experience integrating with or working alongside Microsoft Defender XDR
* Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID Identity Protection / Conditional Access
* Experience with customer-facing consulting (discovery sessions, HLD/LLD, delivery, handover)
