This is for a Permanent Full Time appointment.
What is our Deputy Chief Pharmacist (Clinical) role?
This position oversees and develops the day-to-day activities of the Pharmacy Department and provides professional and operational leadership in medicines management practices within SCGOPHCG.
This position will work closely with the Chief Pharmacist, Deputy Chief Pharmacist (Operations), Deputy Chief Pharmacist (Safety and Clinical Excellence) and Senior Clinical Pharmacy Leads to ensure a seamless coordinated pharmacy service is delivered to patients. This position will also work closely with a range of senior nursing, medical and allied health staff to contribute to optimum patient care by providing to every patient, effective, efficient and quality pharmaceutical service of the highest ethical and professional standards within the policies set by the Chief Pharmacist, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) and North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS).

SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
