Primary objective
To facilitate appropriate accommodation and fleet arrangements for Big Rivers Region Staff, including managing onsite staff
accommodation, Private Head Leases, Government Employee Housing, and allocation of vehicles for business purposes.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Be responsive to the needs of Big Rivers Region (BRR) Health based employees and ensure the availability of suitable
accommodation for approved staff.
2. Be responsible for supporting the Fleet and Accommodation Team Leader with duties such as pre and post occupancy
inspections, quality and standards in relation to presentation, hygiene, housekeeping inventory control, tenancy agreements,
internal process streamlining and systems improvement.
3. Maintain utilisation and booking database of BRR owned and leased properties and ensure the completion of the quarterly
requirements for the fringe benefit tax returns.
4. Be responsible for the management of the fleet vehicles held under lease by Katherine Hospital (KH) including maintenance
requirements, renewal of leases and appropriate allocation of vehicles.
5. Liaison with KH housekeeping, maintenance teams and non-government contractors for the upkeep and maintenance services
to BRR owned and head leased properties.
6. Manage the collection of Bond and Rent payments from staff and the reimbursement or withholding of the bond on successful
or unsuccessful exit inspection of premises.
7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken
in order to ensure high quality, safe service and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven ability to identify and analyse complex problems, think laterally to identify alternative options and recommend,
implement and promote appropriate solutions.
2. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service with a high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiating
skills with the confidence to operate effectively across a diverse workforce and the ability to influence and gain support of
others, especially staff more senior to this position.
3. Proven ability to work with limited supervision, work under pressure, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and provide
consistent advice to staff and management on the appropriate use and management of government assets.
4. Demonstrated competence in the use and management of Electronic Information Management Systems, including knowledge
and experience in using Microsoft Office Applications, HPE and purchasing systems to a high degree.
5. Ability to manage client complaints/concerns with diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity and ability to manage complex
leasing and tenancy issues.
6. Current NT Drivers Licence or ability to obtain.
7. Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
