We're looking for a skilled and experienced Data Analyst/Engineer to join our team in Maroochydore. In this role, you'll work across a variety of data sources to uncover insights, identify trends, and deliver analysis that helps shape the strategic direction of our business. You'll collaborate closely with teams across the organisation, travelling nationally from time to time, and bring a pragmatic, analytical mindset to create innovative reporting solutions that balance customer needs with business performance. Responsibilities
* Provide analysis, modelling and insights to support decision making, plan and implement agreed strategic and operational initiatives
* Design and maintain datasets, based on business requirements, that consider customer, product, and transactional data
* Identify and resolve gaps or anomalies while uplifting data maturity
* Use storytelling to bring data to life with engaging visualisation and presentations to communicate key messages
* Collaborate with Performance and Insights, Customer Experience and Claims teams on customer-centric initiatives and strategy
* Establish governance, methodology and delivery rhythms
Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in Data Modelling in a Data Warehouse / Lakehouse environment
* Experience in Financial Services - General Insurance highly regarded
* Advanced SQL skills to solve analytical business problems
* Experience with programming languages and tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, AWS, Databricks, Python, R, Scala, etc.)
* Experience with data visualisation tools (such as Power BI)
* Experience contributing to building data marts or data modelling for an organisation (desirable)
* Demonstrated experience in managing performance through quantitative and qualitative metrics
* Significant experience in Cloud ETL development using Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Notebooks
