As we continue to grow, we're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team and support our day-to-day financial operations.
Requirements
What you'll be doing:
* Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
* Ensure payments reflect modern Award requirements.
* Maintain employee payroll records, including tax details, deductions, and benefits.
* Develop quotes, service agreements and schedules of support
* Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems.
* Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other day-to-day financial administration
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payments.
* Ensure all processing is completed in line with compliance requirements and legislation.
* Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations related to payroll.
* Assist in the preparation of end-of-month financial reports and account reconciliations
* Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance-related tasks.
* Perform other finance-related administrative duties as required
What you'll bring:
* A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is advantageous.
* Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
* Exposure to payroll is advantageous.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Analytical-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
* Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
* Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What we would like you to have:
* Authorised to work in Victoria
* Finance qualification is desirable.
* Previous experience in accounts in a similar role
* Working with Children Check
