The Role – Operations Manager
As an experienced Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Company delivering passive fire projects across NSW. You will work closely alongside our teams of technicians and subcontractors and be a crucial line of communication between management and site personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in building and construction
This is a hybrid role, working between our head office in Parramatta and various project locations within Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders; coordinating resources to successfully deliver fire protection projects; and implementing our health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems across all projects.
About You
* Available to work a minimum of 8 hours - Monday to Friday and reasonable overtime
* Previous experience working in a hybrid role between the work site and office
* Great written and verbal communication skills
* Ablility to negotiate with relevant stakeholders on project requirements
* Capable of developing and maintaining a broad network of contacts within the industry
* Excellent ability to solve problems and work under pressure
* Ability to manage deadlines
* Professional and organised
Your Duties
* Administrative Tasks: Handle essential tasks and networking requirements via email & phone.
* Site Management: You will be responsible for leading and managing technicians and subcontractors across all projects.
* Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Implementation: Use mobile applications and computer software to implement and enforce our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management systems across all projects and site locations.
* Stakeholder Communication: Communicating and negotiating with management teams and various project stakeholders
* Project Coordination: Organising personnel, equipment, and resource requirements across various projects, you will play a critical role in maintaining communication channels between stakeholders, technicians, and management.
Your Skills
* Strong background in building and construction
* Good understanding of fire protection systems
* Demonstrated ability to understand site plans and various types of reports
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confident communicator
* Comfortable using desktop and mobile applications.
Your Qualifications
* Certificate II, III, or IV in a relevant field preferred.
Your Experience
* Experience: Proven experience in the building and construction sector - experience in the field of fire protection will be highly regarded.
* Technical Skills: Comfortable with using computer, laptop, and mobile applications. Great ability to understand construction plans.
* Reliability: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high-quality output.
Key Requirements
* Current and valid White card & NSW Driver's License
* Proven field experience with a strong background in building and construction
* Proficiency using mobile and computer applications
* Comfortable reading and interpreting construction plans and reports
* Professional and confident spoken and written communication skills
* Basic understanding of fire protection products & systems
* Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia
* Strong and competent ability to work under pressure
* Excellent at quick-thinking and adaptability
