Southern Cross Care Queensland has an opportunity for a part‐time Clinical Funding Officer to work at St Anne's Residential Aged Care Home in Broken Hill. You will work a minimum of 3 days a week and may have the opportunity to pick up extra shifts on the floor if you are a Registered Nurse.

About the Role
In this role, you will provide additional Site‐Specific Clinical Funding support to the homes for the Australian National Aged Care Classifications (AN‐ACC) with the support of the SCCQ Clinical Funding manager.
Working in this Role – Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Liaising with carers and other clinical employees to ensure accurate documentation of resident care needs and time spent.
* Assisting and supporting staff with resources and knowledge of the systems, raising concerns with the Clinical Manager.
* Upskilling residential aged care staff in the funding process by providing training sessions to relevant roles (RN, EN, PCW, Lifestyle Assistants, Pastoral Carers).
* Providing ongoing education through toolbox sessions at shift change‐over to increase awareness and incorporating them into the induction programme for new employees.
* Actively participating in monitoring resident conditions, clinical meetings, handovers, and department meetings to gather information around potential re‐classification opportunities.
* Monitoring and tracking resident data including all movements, Medicare events and AN‐ACC lodgements, and participating in admission processes.
* Reviewing assessments against care plans to ensure congruency and support AN‐ACC classification.
* Delivering high‐quality documentation, reporting and tracking, and monitoring occupancy, entry and departures.
* Completing pre‐screening, new admission, and re‐classification forms with all required data.
* Completing allocated KPI's for resident screening and re‐classification requests each week to support site KPIs for PRPD.
* Communicating with internal stakeholders, attending HODS and AN‐ACC meetings, and coordinating with the Clinical Funding Manager.
* Performing analysis, data collection and reporting for AMO visits, ensuring assessors have designated areas and required logins.
What Will You Bring to the Role?
* Experience in a care or clinical role within a Residential Aged Care Facility.
* Knowledge and understanding of the AN‐ACC tools, funding guide and processes in a residential aged care facility.
* Proven ability to quickly acquire knowledge of diverse software systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
* Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
