ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about helping people succeed? Do you have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions? Join Wodonga TAFE as a Pre-Training Review Officer and guide prospective students to determine suitability in accredited courses.
You’ll conduct pre-training reviews and interviews to assess course suitability, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth enrolment experience. This role suits someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently hold conversations that support informed decisions.
If you have experience in customer service, education, training, or administration, you may already have the skills we need! Key strengths include communication, decision‑making, organisation, relationship building, and adaptability.
Selected Duties
- Ensure pre-training reviews and course offers meet compliance standards and timelines.
- Assess applications using LLN requirements and ACSF framework for accurate decisions.
- Provide clear course expectations, and information to prospective students.
- Liaise with internal teams to maintain accurate course details and support prospective students.
- Identify learning barriers and discuss alternative pathways or support options with students.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

- Relevant Diploma with some experience in a similar role; or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience in a pre‑training review or customer service role in an education setting.
- TAELLN411 – Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or a willingness to undertake this Unit of Competency.
- Experience with holding courageous conversations with customers and the ability to apply knowledge of set criteria to make admission decisions.
- Desirable: Introduction to Career Development Practice.
