Family Peer Support Professional

As our new Family Peer Support Professional, you will draw on your real-life experiences to form partnerships with families, friends, and carers, understanding their needs and offering individualized support when necessary.
You will help our participants develop tailored action plans that incorporate their aspirations, address their unique support needs, and promote overall health and wellbeing.
Additionally, you will facilitate network meetings and deliver group intervention training and courses to enhance carers' ability to sustain their caring role.
This role offers a high level of flexibility in terms of scheduled working hours and can be converted to a full-time position if preferred.
Key Requirements
* Personal lived experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges or psychosocial distress and recovery.
* Certificate IV / Diploma in Mental Health, AOD, or tertiary qualification in social science, or 1+ year relevant work experience in the mental health sector or intentional peer support training.
* Demonstrated knowledge of family and caring roles and their impact on carers' health and wellbeing to determine support requirements.
* Demonstrated skill in establishing empowering and supportive partnerships with individuals, families, and carers.
