About the role 
Temporary part time opportunity to provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care for women and babies with a variety of conditions and support a secure care environment through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based woman and baby focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. 
About you 
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: 
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Apply advanced clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
- Respond appropriately to and provide support and direction to manage sudden alterations in the health status of the woman and baby using advanced midwifery assessment and intervention skills.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 8, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health and Department of Education) Certified Agreement (EB11) (2022) - Midwifery Generic Level Statements (GLS) Midwife Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
