Job Summary
Veterinary Clinical Pathology Technician role available to support operations in a diagnostic laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in veterinary clinical pathology to join a team providing commercial diagnostic services and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
* Processing blood and body fluid samples from various animal species for haematological, cytological, and biochemical analysis
* Operating and maintaining haematology and biochemistry analysers and other equipment
* Receiving and processing veterinary diagnostic samples
* Providing technical assistance for teaching and research in veterinary pathology
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must have:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent tertiary level training relevant to the field of diagnostic veterinary pathology
* At least 2 years' subsequent relevant experience to consolidate theories and principles learned
* Experience and demonstrated knowledge in veterinary diagnostic haematology, cytology, and serum biochemistry
* Skills in the safe use, handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous substances and biological materials
* Good written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Laboratory Information Management System
