The role of the Community Activation and Event Coordinator is a vital part of our Communications team. This position involves utilizing your local knowledge and practices to distribute event and campaign material in local communities, building rapport with current stakeholders and expanding our stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Distribute event and campaign material in local communities
* Build relationships with stakeholders and expand our stakeholder engagement
* Plan, organize, manage, coordinate, and evaluate various types of events
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment. You will be responsible for providing support to our offices in planning events, attending our office events across Queensland where practical, and liaising with suppliers, venues, catering and travel providers for events.
Requirements:
* Experienced in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
* Proven track record of creative, successful events
* Higher administrative skills
* Public relations experience is desirable
* Experience working within First Nations communities
You will have excellent organizational, communication, negotiating, and multi-tasking skills, and be able to remain calm under pressure while maintaining a customer-service mindset. Additionally, you will be proficient on social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram, and be able to take high-quality photographs for social media use.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to suggest events and activities without instruction and drive projects without direction. You will be able to build positive and mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver on the scope of work.
