Job Description
In this role, you will help shape our product range by selecting great items, creating new and exclusive offerings, and keeping categories fresh and on trend. You will review ranges, negotiate strong deals, plan promotions, and track performance to keep things moving in the right direction. You will manage products from setup to launch, keep stores in the loop, and coach your team so everyone shines.
A Peek Into Your Petstock Day
* Curate, source and select in line with category plan, company vision and merchandise plans along with creating new & exclusive ranges
* Execute timely Range reviews that deliver improved commercials
* Forward plan, negotiate and confirm 12-month promotional plan
* Negotiate exclusives and first to market opportunities where appropriate along with maintaining current trading terms
* Implement Category Business Plan to achieve budgeted KPIs
* Weekly tracking and summation of performance against Category KPIs including analysis of category data
* Manage the end-to-end product including overseeing product set up and maintenance
* Support our stores with timely communication to inform and enable them to execute on time and deliver an exceptional customer experience
* Develop and coach direct reports through performance & development plans, training & technical skills transfer
Do you have the below experience and looking to take the next step in your career?
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role, tertiary qualification desirable although not essential
* Excellent analytical skills to draw insights from customer data and present these along with creative solutions
* Demonstrated understanding of inventory management processes, forecasting and supplier management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience in Category Management, Overseas Importing, Product Development
