About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Corporate), the Chief Infrastructure & Property Officer is a strategic leader responsible for managing all campus facilities and delivering the university's 10-year Campus and Infrastructure Vision. This role leads a national team in strategic planning and operational management of campus facilities, ensuring alignment with the university's long-term strategies. The role also oversees major building infrastructure initiatives, fostering a culture of inclusive leadership and high performance.
You'll lead a multi-campus team in a collegiate environment with the following responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of ACU's 10-year Campus and Infrastructure Vision, ensuring alignment with ACU's Strategic Plan, Vision 2033
- Oversee national campus operations, facilities, capital projects and sustainability
- Drive innovative, student-centred, and financially sustainable infrastructure solutions informed by data and smart technologies
- Embed inclusivity, Indigenous perspectives, universal design, and accessibility across all initiatives
- Advise senior leadership on infrastructure strategy and investments, shaping long-term priorities through robust business cases
- Build trusted relationships and partnerships internally and externally, influencing outcomes with diplomacy and strategic communication

About You
We are seeking motivated professionals with:
- Postgraduate qualifications in property, infrastructure, architecture, engineering, urban planning, or a related discipline
- Extensive senior leadership experience in strategic and operational oversight of facilities, leading national teams across capital delivery, facilities management, operations, and sustainability within complex, multi-site organisations
- Proven experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism, fostering collaboration across varied stakeholder groups
- Skilled in navigating complex environments to deliver outcomes through consensus-building, negotiation, and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with clarity and influence diverse stakeholders
- Proven capability in strategic infrastructure planning, including the development and execution of long-term asset and capital programs aligned with organisational goals and future service delivery models
- Expertise in end-to-end capital project delivery, including business case development, master planning, design, procurement, contract management, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to embed universal and culturally responsive design principles into infrastructure projects, while driving innovation through smart technologies and data-driven solutions that enhance experience and efficiency
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen with a track record of advising executive leadership and influencing enterprise-wide investment decisions
- Expertise in sustainability and climate resilience, including ESG integration, environmental performance management, and continuity planning across capital and operational programs
- Demonstrated leadership capability in risk, safety, and compliance, ensuring safe, inclusive, and legally compliant environments through robust governance, emergency preparedness, and adherence to WHS and procurement standards
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and ethical practice principles and demonstrated knowledge of equal employment chance and workplace health and safety
